  • 11+ Preparation

Hi, I'm Amelia, I am so excited to be your tutor 😊. I began tutoring at 17 and quickly discovered a true passion for supporting children on their educational journeys — a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

I studied English Literature at the University of Chester, and after completing my degree, I went on to run and manage a tuition centre. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience helping children with Maths, English, and 11+ preparation.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing students grow in confidence and achieve their goals! Outside of tutoring, I love reading (I’d be delighted to hear about your favourite books!), exploring museums, spending time with friends, playing pool and playing with my cat.

I can't wait to meet you all and feel privileged to be part of your learning journey!

Sarah, our tutor

  • Maths

  • History
  • SEN & SEMH Support

Hi, I’m Sarah, I qualified as a primary teacher in 2018. Since then, I have taught in mainstream schools from Reception up to year 6. I live in Chester, so have taught in both England and Wales.

My favourite hobbies are seeing friends and family and walking my two dogs, Max and Kobe!

I left mainstream education in 2023, and became a tutor, working for a company that provides education to children with a variety of needs, including SEN, Autism, ADHD and SEMH. I found this role particularly rewarding as it allowed me to work with children 1:1 and in small groups, developing their confidence and re-engaging them with education.

I enjoy teaching maths and English, but my favourite subject to teach is actually History, having completed my undergraduate degree in History at the University of Chester in 2016.

  • ALN/SEN Support

Hiya, I am Elpida and I am a dedicated and experienced Maths and Science tutor with over 20 years of teaching across KS3, KS4, GCSE and A Level. I have extensive experience supporting learners with ALN/SEN needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, Autism and dyscalculia. My approach is patient, calm and highly personalised — every child learns differently, and I make sure each lesson is adapted to their pace and strengths.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Applied Mathematics with specialisation in Didactics, and I’m fluent in Greek, English and French. I currently teach Maths and Science, covering WJEC, Pearson, AQA, OCR and IGCSE exam boards. For online tutoring, I use interactive digital tools such as Miro, GeoGebra and Wolfram Alpha to make learning engaging, visual and accessible.

Above all, I aim to help students feel comfortable, motivated and proud of their progress. Mistakes are part of learning, and I work closely with each learner to build resilience, independence and a genuine enjoyment of Maths and Science.

Michaela, our tutor

Michaela

  • Maths
  • Business Studies

Hi, I’m Michaela and I am a tutor for Maths and Business Studies. My background is studying Business Economics at Lancaster University, before a 13 year career in Marketing for well-known supermarket brands including Persil, Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut & MüllerCorner.

I switched careers to tutoring because I am passionate about helping learners move towards their education or career goals (and build confidence along the way). I also enjoy meeting people and adapting my communication and teaching style for each individual.

Most of my time is spent with my two young children, exploring all the local things to do, including many trips to Chester Zoo!
